In order to prevent more innocent lives from being taken
we intend to increase
awareness of gun safety.

The first Cody Coffman Scholarship was awarded at the Camarillo Pony Baseball Association's closing ceremonies on May 30th, 2019. The scholarship was awarded to Jordan Smart, who worked often with Cody. He was selected because of his commitment, his exemplary work ethic, and his desire to further his career as an umpire.
This scholarship will be awarded annually to an umpire of exceptional character to help them afford to move forward as an umpire, as Cody would have liked to do.

On November 7th, 2018 a gunman opened fire in a crowded bar in Thousand Oaks, CA. Police responded quickly, however twelve beautiful lives were taken:
